An AI chatbot for SaaS support, trained on your docs

We use My-Chatify for support on our own software. The bot handles the questions your docs already answer, and your team looks after the ones that really need a person.

Scheduling software support chat, Tuesday 10:15

The situation

The ticket whose answer is in a help article

Friday, 4:50pm. A trial user, three days in, writes: ‘how do i add a second admin? cant see it anywhere’. There's a help article with screenshots two clicks away. It still becomes a ticket, and on Monday someone from support sends the link.

These tickets aren't hard. There are just a lot of them, and they push the difficult ones down the queue. Onboarding is also exactly where a trial turns into a paying customer or doesn't, so leaving someone waiting until Monday isn't ideal.

In detail

What you get

Trained on your documentation

Give the bot the URL of your help centre, your changelog and the FAQ. It crawls the pages, re-reads them as often as daily, and answers questions with what's in there.

If something isn't documented, the bot says so. Those unanswered questions are collected in the analytics. For a product team, that's a pretty honest list of where the docs have gaps.

Onboarding questions during the trial

The bot sits as a widget in your web app or on your site and answers while the user is stuck on that exact screen. The widget also runs in React, Next.js and Vue.

  • Where's the setting for …?
  • How do I invite my team?
  • What's included in my plan?
  • How do I import existing data?

When a person takes over

For bugs, billing questions, or when someone asks for a person, the bot hands over to your team. Support sees the whole conversation in the inbox, and the customer doesn't have to repeat themselves.

Webhooks and the REST API let you pull conversations or leads into your own systems, a ticketing tool or your CRM for instance.

Our own numbers

At PixelConsult, My-Chatify answers questions about our own software, trained on docs, changelog and FAQ. That's 2,100 questions a month answered automatically and 47% fewer first-level tickets.

We're obviously not neutral here. But we regularly see which questions the bot can't answer and rewrite the docs accordingly, and that alone has been worth it.

How it works

From help centre to support bot

No coding, no IT project. Live in under 3 minutes.

  1. 01

    Connect docs, changelog and FAQ

Enter the URLs, switch on daily recrawl, fill missing answers with Q&A pairs.

  2. 02

    Decide the handover rules

When should a person step in? Bugs, billing, an explicit request. Test it in the Playground.

  3. 03

Embed the widget in your app and site

One script tag, adjust colours and welcome message, go live.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often about this topic.

How does the bot keep up if we ship every week?

Have your docs and changelog re-crawled daily. The bot then knows about new features as soon as they're documented. Anything that only exists in your developers' Slack channel, it won't know.

Can we put the bot inside our web app?

Yes. The widget is a script tag and works in React, Next.js and Vue apps. You can change colours, logo and welcome message yourself.

Is there an API?

Yes, a REST API and webhooks. Use them to send new conversations or leads to your ticketing system or CRM, for example.

What about questions in other languages?

The bot replies in whatever language the question is asked in, even if your docs are only in German or English. The widget interface itself comes in six languages.

Are our docs or customer conversations used to train AI?

No, neither by us nor by the AI providers. Each assistant has its own isolated database, hosted in Germany/the EU.
